Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago has said plans are underway to provide gas operating vehicles for inter and intra city services across the state.
This is to reduce the high cost of petrol operating vehicles and ameliorate sufferings of the people due to fuel subsidy removal.
Governor Umar Bago who stated this at the swearing in of Commissioners and Special Advisers in Minna said the move would reduce the cost of transportation.
He appealed to the residents to be patient despite the hardship being experienced, stressing that efforts were on to provide palliatives.
The Governor also charged the newly sworn in members of the State Executive Council and the Special Advisers to pay attention to the yearnings of the people and be responsible in discharging their duties.
Responding on behalf of the Commissioners and Special Advisers, Commissioner of Lands and Survey, Mr Morice Magaji said they will serve with dignity, respect and humility.
He also assured that they will remain loyal to the policies and programme of Governor Umar Bago to succeed.
