The Vice-President, Kashim Shettima will represent President Bola Tinubu at the G77 China Leaders’ Summit in Havana, Cuba.
According to a statement from the Director of Information in the Office of the Vice-President, Olusola Abiola, the summit is scheduled for September 15 to 17.
The Vice-President will be joining other world leaders, such as the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Gutteres, to discuss the development issues that members of the global south are facing.
The summit aims to address challenges that member-states are experiencing by exploring proactive ways to enhance socio-economic growth with science, technology, and innovation.
The theme of the summit is “Current Development Challenges: The Role of Science, Technology and Innovation”.
Vice-President Shettima had in August represented President Tinubu at the 15th BRICS Summit of Heads of State and Government in Johannesburg, South Africa.
