Everton up for sale

Premier League Club, Everton may undergo series of changes after Farhad Moshiri agreed to sell his 94% stake in the club to American investment fund 777 Partners.

Moshiri has been the highest stakeholder in Everton since 2016.

In a statement, Farhad Moshiri said style of club ownership has changed as the private sector are increasing stakes in leagues across the world particularly the English Premier League.

On the club’s X handle, Moshiri said he considered some strong potential opportunities inherent in the deal for Everton and expressed optimism that the new owners would take the Club to greater heights.

The sale is expected to be completed by the end of 2023, subject to Premier League, Football Association and Financial Conduct Authority’s approval.

In his reaction, the prospective owner, 777 founder Josh Wander expressed delight adding that he would contribute to the heritage and values of Everton.
