President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated two new ministers to head the affairs of the Ministry of Youth.
They are Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim who is the substantive Minister of Youth, and Ayodele Olawande who will serve as the Minister of State for Youth.
In a Statement, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale said the appointments are subject to Senate’s confirmation.
According to Ngelale, DrJamila Bio Ibrahim, a young medical doctor, had recently served as the President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF) and the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He maintained that Ayodele Olawande, a community development expert and youth leader in the governing All Progressives’ Congress (APC), has served in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023.
He added that the President charged them to consistently show dynamism, innovative zeal, and unyielding productivity that are synonymous with the young people as they discharge their duties.
