Nigerians are urged to rely on God for a better future, regardless of life’s challenges.

Senior pastors at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Christ the Anchor FCT province 17 at the one year anniversary event gave this message to parishioners.

One of the Pastors, Matthew Morakinyo, commended the faithful for their dedication to growing the church from a parish to a provincial headquarters.

He urged them to continue thanking God and making their requests known to Him, reminding them that God is capable of exceeding their expectations.

The founding pastor, Mrs Abigail Obidare, shared the historical background of the church, which began in a forest inhabited by dangerous animals.

She expressed gratitude to God for His faithfulness in fulfilling His promises, which has brought the church to where it is today.

The weeklong anniversary event, themed “Let it Rain,” featured powerful revivalists, including Pastor Ayo Ezekiel, Region 10, and Pastors Jide Akiode and Ola Adejubee.

The Assistant General Overseer, Africa Continent II, Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, culminated the event on Sunday.

The current provincial pastor, Moses Adeyanju, thanked God for keeping all the parishioners alive to witness the occasion, especially for the church’s transformation into a provincial headquarters.

He urged pastors within and outside the RCCG mission to unite to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Founding pastors and veterans were also in attendance to mark the first year of the provincial anniversary.

Highlight of the event was presentation of Awards to all the Pastors who had served in the Church from inception in 2006 and other distinguished Church members.

The event also featured Book launch written by an eleven year old, Ngozi Chinedu.
