Following the chambers of human rights attorney Mr. Femi Falana’s plea for an inquest into the passing of late Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, the Lagos Coroner System has announced that the sitting will begin on Friday.
Preliminary investigations into Oladimeji’s death will begin on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Magistrate Court 3 of the Candide-Johnson Courthouse in Ikorodu, according to a directive from the Chief Coroner of Lagos State, Justice Mojisola Dada.
The convocation of an inquest was brought pursuant to the extant provisions of Sections. 14 & 15 of the Coroner System Law of Lagos State, Cap C15, Laws of Lagos State 2015.
According to reports, the terrible death happened in Ikorodu, Lagos State, under conditions that call for the holding of an inquest in accordance with the Coroner System Law’s current requirements.
It would be recalled that, Oladimeji (Mohbad) was seen on various video on social media, as he was seen agonising in the pains he had gone through at the hand of some individuals and there were allegations that Mohbad was bullied, harassed and assaulted.
