The Kaduna State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, located in the state capital, will issue its ruling today.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Isah Ashiru in the 2023 election, filed a petition to challenge the election victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) governor Uba Sani.
The panel will deliver its ruling via Zoom, although no official justification for the abrupt change has been provided.
Prior to the judgment, the courthouse’s perimeter had been further secured by a group of police officers, DSS agents, and members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The tribunal members, led by Justice Victor Oviawie, are expected to deliver the judgment.

Senator Sani polled a total of 730,001 votes to defeat his closest rival Ashiru who scored 719, 196 votes,
Jonathan Asake of the Labour Party (LP), who received 58,283 votes, finished in third place, while Suleiman Hunkuyi of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) received 21,405 votes.
