Navy intercepts over 300 bags of foreign rice

The Nigerian Navy has seized more than 300 bags of foreign parboiled rice and 40 wraps of cannabis sativa weighing 21 kilograms. Reports say the goods were intercepted on the Badagr- Portonovo waterway.  The Commanding Officer, Forward Operation Base, Badagry, Navy Captain James Otache, said the perpetrators fled when they saw the Naval patrol team, who subsequently handed over the seized consignments to the appropriate prosecutory authorities. ASUU strike: Kaduna University begins semester exams

Kaduna State University (KASU) has resumed the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic session for its undergraduate and postgraduate students. This is coming five months after the Academic Staff Union of Universities proceeded on strike. The resumption was for the continuation of the second semester examination, which was postponed due to ASUU strike, which began in February of this year. Professor Abdullahi Ashafa, Acting Vice Chancellor of Kaduna State University, explained that the school does not have a labor dispute with the local branch of ASUU, so there is no need to keep the students at home.
